LIVE EVENTS

We want our listeners to be able to explore the excitement and connection that storytelling can provide at one of our live storytelling events. We’re aiming to bring a live storytelling event to a theater near you. Usually, our live storytelling events consist of 5-8 storytellers telling their true and compelling stories live on stage in front of an audience. These stories are told without notes and from the heart, making the connection to the storyteller raw and emotional. Storytellers work with the organizers to craft their story in an engaging manner.

Are you a group, organization, or institution that wants to help co-sponsor one of these live storytelling events in a theater near you with Palestinians Podcast? We’ve partnered with festivals, museums, and student groups in the past and look to partner with other organizations.  You can find out more about the process and propose your event by emailing stories@palestinianspodcast.com. Typically, these events need 3-8 months of lead-time to be developed, planned, and executed. We hope that we get the opportunity to bring live storytelling to your city!

Hikayat: Personal Narratives from a Cultural Perspective 3/18/17

The first Hikayat event, co-sponsored with the Arab American National Museum, was hosted in Dearborn, MI. We had 7 storytellers contribute to a beautiful evening of stories from a variety of Arab perspectives. The event was packed and was well received and we hope to work with the museum to bring future shows to the Dearborn area. Some of the stories will be featured on future episodes of Palestinians Podcast! You can watch the event on our Facebook live streams in two parts.

Palestinians, Live! 2016 – 10/23/16

Our second Palestinians, Live! event, co-sponsored with the Boston Palestine Film Festival, was hosted at the OBERON Theater in Cambridge, MA. We had 7 storytellers share their stories during two live shows. It was a wonderful night of unity, activism, and laughter. These stories will be brought to the podcast as episodes in episodes #16 and #17.

Palestinians, Live! 2015 – 10/21/15

The first Palestinians, Live! event, co-sponsored with the Boston Palestine Film Festival, was hosted in Somerville, MA. We had 6 storytellers, two musicians, and one poet contribute to a beautiful evening of culture. The event sold out quickly and was well received, contributing to it being held again in 2016. You can listen to stories told by the storytellers in episodes 1, 2, 4, 7, and 8
